The lasagna is one of the recipes of Italian origin which are best known, and consumed throughout the world, a dish that can be made with very different fillings, combinations of meat of almost any kind, all kinds of vegetables, sauces and other condiments, Which makes that there are very different recipes from each other. This time we will prepare meat lasagna with bechamel, which is really delicious and ideal for any family lunch.
The ingredients indicated are necessary to make lasagna. It is for about 6 people, for which we will use a glass tray of 40×25 centimetres. In this recipe, we will use a mixed minced meat, half pork and the other half veal, which is very tasty, but you can also use only one type if you prefer. The first thing to do is prepare the sheets of lasagna, which always needs to be done just by following the package directions because there are two types of sheets usually, one needs to be cooked and other comes precooked. We will prefer the second type because they just need a few minutes in water to hydrate and we can use. You can without any hassle find them in any supermarket.
To prepare the filling for our lasagna, we need to peel the onions and chop them in pieces not too large. Do the same with the cloves of garlic, which we will laminate in not very thick sheets. Next step is to wash the peppers, then remove the seeds, and then cut them into small pieces. For tomato paste, we can buy it or make it homemade. Keep all these ingredients prepared.
Then in a big frying, put a stream of virgin olive oil and turn on the stove to average fire. Sauté the garlic, the onions, and the peppers that you chopped, stirring from time to time and adding a little salt on top for flavour.
In the meantime season the minced meat. Make sure to mix well in a large bowl, until everything is well assorted. Once the contents of the frying pan are already tender and golden, what we will do next is that we will add minced meat that we just prepared, and cook it for a few minutes, on rather soft fire and stirring to cook it all over. Once the minced meat begins to take colour, add the tomato sauce, stir well and keep simmering for about 8-10 minutes to cook and mix the flavours of all ingredients.
As your mince is cooking, turn on the oven and put it at 190°C to preheat. We will hydrate or cook the lasagna sheets, depending on whether we are using one type one or another, and when they are ready we will assemble the first layer with them. Completely cover the base of the tray with the cooked sheets. Make certain that there are no holes in them, for which we recommend to mount the sheets a little on top of each other. After that, put half of the pan mixture on the sheets of lasagna. Well, distribute it on the lasagna, so that they are covered well.
On that fill layer, put another layer of sheets of lasagna, and keep repeating the previous step, till the rest of the filling that we cooked in the pan is finished, and end with another sheet of lasagna.
The top we will finish by pouring a good amount of grated cheese, which covers well all the sheets of pasta. Use the cheese that you prefer, but try to choose a cheese that melts well. When the oven has reached the temperature that has been indicated, put the lasagna and bake it for around about 25 or 30 minutes, until cheese is well incorporated. If you think it is undone, cook for a few more minutes, until it is perfect. At the end, serve it hot, or let it rest so that it is more tasty and compact. You can heat it again at the time of serving. Happy eating!
